Central Silk Technological Research Institute (CSTRI) is the only research institute in the country dedicated to the Research & Developmental activities related to silk technology. CSTRI was established in the year 1983 and today, CSTRI is one among Textile Research Associations in the country. The institute has set up a centre of excellence for providing training in the field of post-cocoon technology since 1983-84 with a mission to train officials of state sericulture departments, (DOS), entrepreneurs, students, fashion designers, reelers, dyers, twisters, weavers, floor level workers etc.
The training programmes offered by the institute consist of (A) Certificate capsule courses and (B) Need based adhoc or Special courses.
